Commercial cold plunge water treatment plant

Commercial Service & Maintenance

A complete water-care package, engineered around your operation.

Every commercial installation carries a defined water-treatment stack — surface skimming, media filtration, UV-C disinfection, automatic dosing and level management — plus a scheduled service regime that keeps the whole system in warranty condition year on year.

Commercial water treatment

Five stages, one engineered loop.

Every Odyssey commercial installation is designed around a complete water-treatment loop — surface skimming, filtration, UV disinfection, automatic dosing and level management working together, not a plunge with add-ons bolted onto the side.

  4. UV-C treatment

01

Surface Skimming

First-line contamination control

Every commercial system incorporates a surface skimmer that continuously draws water from the top of the plunge where floating contamination accumulates — hair, body oils, cosmetic residues, surface debris. Skimming is the first stage of the treatment loop; catching contaminants at the surface reduces the load on filtration and disinfection downstream.

02

Media Filtration

Continuous suspended-particulate removal

High-rate media filtration sits at the heart of the circulation loop, continuously removing suspended contamination from the water. Filter sizing is determined during detailed design based on plunge water volume, target circulation rate, pipework resistance, plant location and expected commercial bather load.

03

UV-C Water Treatment

Secondary disinfection barrier

UV-C secondary disinfection sits alongside primary residual sanitisation. Water passes through the UV chamber during circulation, providing continuous microbial control that reduces reliance on chemical disinfection alone. No additional chemicals are introduced; the UV unit is installed accessibly for routine lamp inspection and replacement.

04

Automatic Chemical Dosing

pH + ORP monitored and corrected continuously

Commercial systems can be specified with continuous pH and Oxidation-Reduction Potential (ORP) monitoring driving automatic dosing of pH correction and chlorine-based disinfectant. Free chlorine residual is verified independently, giving the operator confirmation the required disinfectant concentration is being held under varying bather load — with far less manual intervention than a residential system.

05

Automatic Water Top-Up

Consistent operating level, hands-off

Commercial systems lose water through splash-out, evaporation and drain-down over the operating cycle. Automatic level management introduces protected replacement water to maintain the required operating depth without operator intervention. Requires a protected mains water connection with appropriate backflow protection — confirmed during detailed design.

Systems are specified against each project's bather load, operating temperature, plant space and site services. Final equipment selection is confirmed during detailed design.

Maintenance schedule

What happens, and when.

Commercial reliability is planned, not reactive. Operator tasks keep the system running week to week; Odyssey site visits and annual deep-service keep the whole loop in warranty condition year on year.

Weekly

Operator checks

  • Manual water-quality test (free chlorine, pH)
  • Visual inspection of plunge + surrounding area
  • Skimmer basket empty + rinse
  • Wipe-down of visible stainless surfaces

Monthly

Operator checks

  • Filter backwash (per system indicators)
  • Chemical dosing bulk levels + refill
  • Log system check on the operator sheet

Quarterly

Odyssey site visit (Professional Care + Elite Care plans)

  • Full system health inspection
  • Filter media condition + replacement schedule
  • UV lamp intensity + hour check
  • Dosing pump calibration + probe cleaning
  • Chiller inspection (fans, condenser, refrigerant pressures)
  • Pipework + fitting integrity check

Annually

Odyssey deep service (all plans)

  • Full drain, clean and refill
  • Filter media replacement
  • UV lamp replacement
  • Chiller service + refrigerant top-up if required
  • Chemical dosing lines + tubing replacement
  • Certification + service log update

Maintenance & longevity.

All commercial water systems require maintenance. We're upfront about it, and here to help.

01

Filter Replacement

Regular filter changes maintain water clarity and system efficiency in high-use environments.

02

UV & Ozone Systems

UV lamps have a limited lifespan and require scheduled replacement for consistent sanitisation.

03

Pump & Seal Wear

Mechanical components experience natural wear and require periodic inspection and servicing.

04

Environmental Factors

Cold, heat, coastal locations, and UV exposure accelerate wear. Proactive care is essential.

“Commercial reliability is designed in, not bolted on.”

Commercial Warranty

Clear, professional coverage you can depend on

What's Covered

  • • Manufacturing defects in materials & workmanship
  • • Structural integrity of bath construction
  • • Chiller & filtration system components
  • • Control systems & electrical components
  • • Installation defects (when installed by Odyssey)

Consumables & Wear Items

  • • Filter cartridges & media
  • • UV lamps & ozone generators
  • • Seals, gaskets & O-rings (normal wear)
  • • Water chemistry imbalances
  • • Cosmetic wear from normal use

Maintenance & Warranty Validity

Commercial warranties require adherence to maintenance schedules. Systems without documented maintenance may void coverage.

Why? Neglected maintenance causes premature wear that isn't a manufacturing defect. Our maintenance packages keep your warranty valid and your system running.

Commercial Warranty Terms

Duration: 1-2 years on parts & labour (varies by component)

Response time: 48-72 hours for warranty claims

Coverage area: UK mainland (Scotland & remote areas may incur additional fees)

Extended warranties: Available with maintenance packages
